How to listen to houseradio
Internet broadcasting:
Houseradio is broadcasting over the internet using 3 streaming (Shoutcast) servers. Two servers are located in europe and one server is located in the USA.
This spreading of server locations garantees a better coverage of the stream in the world.
Depending on your internet connection quality or routing, it is possible one server generates skips (stream interrupts).
You can try one of the other servers to find out your best connection.
The mobile AAC+ server is a special stream for using mobile devices like PDA, SMART phones, the stream quality is almost the same as the mp3 HIFI streams. We advise you to use
flycast for SMART phones
Tuning in:
We have programmed several playlist files linked to the mentioned streaming servers to start the stream automatically with a standard MP3 player.
The playlist files will automatic load the correct server address when you click on one of the players in the listenmenu on the main page, or by selecting an URL in the 'Playlist files' window on the right side of this page.
Depending on your PC system settings, your pc will respons to one of the playlistsfiles:
- .asx => Windows media player, VLC media player
- .pls => Winamp, itunes, Jetaudio, VLC media player
- .ram => Realmedia player
You can also select the webplayer. This is an integrated html programmed media player in a small browser window. This player is only supported by standard browsers supported with a windows media player plugin.
We are also listed on itunes radio. You only have to start itunes on your system and select 'radio' in the right menu. We are listed in the Dance/Electronic list named 'houseradio'.
If the the playlist files will not work for you, you can try to open the server location directly in your media player.
The direct server locations are:
- lime.citrus3.com:8052
- radiobash.com:8200
- lime.citrus3.com:8154
We also receive questions about how to connect to smartphone and or PDA's. As there are many of this devices, it is difficult for us to support you in this matter.
We are working on a knowledge database for these specific questions.
